Although Shoutchurch.tv hosts a number of live events and services each year, most of our weekly worship experiences are available on-demand. Jesus promised that, wherever two or more persons are gathered in his name, He is there also. The really cool thing is that, at almost any time day or night, seven days a week, multiple people are on this website engaging in the worship of God online. We think that's pretty awesome.
Our worship experiences are also a little different. In a traditional church setting, the format of worship lends itself to more of a "one size fits all" approach. In an online church setting, we can get a little more creative. So as you click through the worship experience, you're going to encounter options. What kind of music do you like? Each week we feature three carefully curated options that support the theme of that week's worship experience. You'll find a Classic version (for those who like it old school), a Modern version (for those who prefer a more upbeat, contemporary sound) and an eclectic version which changes every week and is drawn from a number of different music genres (for those who like to mix it up a bit).
You'll also see some options when it comes to the sermon. Each week's sermon is divided into two parts. Part One is a general introduction to that week's message and is designed to be appropriate for everyone. In addition, there are three different Part Two options: one for seekers, one for persons new to the Christian faith and one for more mature believers. These segments help you apply the message to your unique stage in life.
What about things like communion, baptism, marriages, funerals -- how does that work in an online church? Shoutchurch.tv is a part of a network of affiliated churches throughout the world. What that means is that when the need for local clergy arises, we have someone to call on in most any corner of the globe.
